Cora Corré’s Marella Capsule Honours Vivienne Westwood

Being the granddaughter of Vivienne Westwood comes with a famous surname and a strong set of values, and the British model and activist Cora Corré clearly takes both seriously. In a new interview with Vanity Fair Italia, she explains why she thought long and hard before agreeing to co-design an autumn/winter 2026 capsule collection with Marella, the Italian label that belongs to the Max Mara Fashion Group. Corré is also the daughter of Joseph Corré and Serena Rees, the founders of Agent Provocateur, and the granddaughter of Malcolm McLaren.

Tailoring with a strong shoulder

Corré told the magazine that she researched the brand before saying yes and was won over by the fact that it is independent and family-run, and by the warmth of the team. Structured jackets and outerwear are the starting point of her own wardrobe, an everyday kind of elegance she credits to her mother, who would dress for the school run and then go straight into business meetings. Her favourite piece is a navy coat inspired by a vintage military trench she has borrowed from her mother many times.

British Vogue and FashionNetwork describe a capsule built around outerwear: a double-layered pure wool coat in navy with an hourglass shape, a chocolate-brown trench, a short checked coat in chocolate and ivory, and a leather bomber worn with a matching pencil skirt. There is also an ivory suit with a ruffled corset top, a long black satin dress and a scarlet draped party dress that Corré likens to a red lipstick. Prices run from £195 to £695, and the collection is sold in Marella stores, including the label’s first standalone UK shop on Marylebone High Street in London, and online.

“Buy less, choose well, make it last”

Westwood often repeated that advice, and Corré sees no contradiction in launching new clothes. Her argument is that classic, trend-free pieces become more personal the longer you own them; if someone wears the navy coat for twenty years, she says, the capsule will have done what her grandmother meant. Tartan appears too, and she told Vanity Fair Italia that it only looks like a costume when it is treated as a statement about tradition. Corré is also the face of The Vivienne Foundation, which continues Westwood’s campaigns on climate change, war, human rights and a greener economy, and she says the deepest thing she inherited from her grandmother was a sense of justice.

Jewellery made to last

The same thinking works for jewellery: choose a few pieces you love and wear them for years. A deep red stone answers that scarlet dress beautifully, so look at our garnet earrings or ruby earrings. With a navy coat, a simple piece from our pendant necklaces sits neatly at the collar, while coordinated jewellery sets take the guesswork out of getting dressed.
