Hailey Bieber’s Pink Blush Rules the Academy Museum Gala

Pink was the colour of the night at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on 17 October, and nobody wore it with more conviction than Hailey Bieber. The annual fundraiser for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, now in its sixth year, drew a crowd of film, music and fashion names, and Vanity Fair Italia singled out one beauty trend above the rest: blush, and plenty of it.

A rosy flush to match the gown

Bieber arrived in a custom Chanel column gown in a soft bubblegum pink, created under the house’s creative director Matthieu Blazy. According to InStyle and Harper’s Bazaar, the straps and neckline were covered in floral beadwork, with strands of tiny pearls hanging between colourful stones, while the back was cut low and the skirt had a slit to the knee. She finished the look with pink stilettos and several diamond rings.

Her make-up picked up the same shade. Cheeks were swept with a generous, sun-kissed cloud of pink, paired with brushed-up brows, soft brown mascara and a rosy lip. The one dark note came from her nails: Vogue reports that her manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, gave her a glossy black almond manicure, a deliberate contrast to all that sugary pink and a nod to the deep brunette hair she debuted in September.

The other beauty looks worth noting

Bieber was not alone in reaching for the blusher. Pamela Anderson, usually loyal to a bare face, added touches of pink to her cheeks and framed them with a bob of golden curls. Taylor Swift chose a bouncy, slightly retro bob with a fine flick of eyeliner, and Karlie Kloss wore a soft low ponytail with two loose strands falling around her face. Teyana Taylor matched her eyeshadow to the powder blue of her dress, while Sabrina Carpenter and Maya Hawke brightened their eyes with highlighter in the inner corners. Waves were everywhere, from the beachy texture of Kylie Minogue and Zoey Deutch to the Old Hollywood finish chosen by Kate Hudson, and Charlize Theron proved again how striking a sleek pixie cut can be.

If you want to borrow the mood, let the pink travel from cheeks to jewellery. The soft peach-pink of morganite rings or a delicate morganite pendant works beautifully with a rosy flush, and rose quartz earrings keep the look gentle. For a little more colour, try stacking multi-gemstone rings, just as Bieber layered hers.
