Moncler Re/Icons Celebrates Three Pioneering Women

Moncler has turned to three women who have spent their careers ignoring the rulebook to front its new Re/Icons collection. Cher, the K-pop star Jennie and Grace Jones lead the autumn/winter 2026 campaign, which was photographed and directed by the British photographer Gabriel Moses and unveiled this week. Vanity Fair Italia describes the trio as pioneers who each, in their own way, pushed past the limits set for them, which is exactly the idea the Italian house wants to attach to its archive.

Back to the mountains

Re/Icons is Moncler’s project for reworking landmark designs from its archive. According to Vogue, this season focuses on four core styles, the Karakorum, Verone, Himalaya and Tibb, refreshed with new materials and proportions, and for the first time the line extends beyond outerwear into windbreakers, T-shirts, trousers, skirts and accessories. The campaign images take their cue from archive photographs of Lionel Terray, the French alpinist who was one of the brand’s earliest collaborators. Vogue recalls that Moncler started out in 1952 in the French Alps making tents and sleeping bags, and that its down jackets followed after Terray described the warm, light feather-filled coats he had seen in Canada.

Three women, three looks

Each star is placed at the centre of a crowd, a visual way of saying that she stands apart. Cher wears the Himalaya jacket in white and the Verone in black, with a bold yellow scarf that, as Harper’s Bazaar Australia and Complex both point out, nods to the Bob Mackie scarf dress from The Cher Show. For her, a pioneering spirit means pressing on, refusing to give up and remembering to be grateful. Jennie appears in a black Karakorum jacket and a caramel Tibb gilet, surrounded by faces from all over the world; she says her biggest dream is to keep discovering versions of herself she has not met yet. Grace Jones wears the Karakorum in a deep purple, a colour chosen to recall her long creative partnership with Jean-Paul Goude, and she speaks of loving the kind of challenge that makes the impossible feel achieved.

The lesson for a winter wardrobe is simple: one confident accent can carry a whole look. A sunny stone from our citrine pendants echoes that yellow scarf, rich purple amethyst rings pay tribute to Grace Jones, and a pair of statement earrings will lift even the plainest padded coat.
