Pamela Anderson’s Old Hollywood Curls and Cherry Lip at the CFDA Awards

The CFDA Fashion Awards, the American fashion industry’s big night, took place on Monday 2 November 2026 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Alongside the trophies and the gowns, the red carpet offered plenty of beauty ideas, and one look in particular got everyone talking: Pamela Anderson’s return to Old Hollywood glamour.

Pamela Anderson’s Bombshell Bob

Anderson famously decided in 2023 to step away from heavy red-carpet make-up, and she has mostly kept her face bare ever since. This time she kept the base fresh and simple, with a touch of mascara and a soft pink blush, but let two details do the talking. Her short platinum hair was set in tight, sculpted curls and swept back from her face, a retro bob that several beauty editors compared to Marilyn Monroe. The second detail was a glossy cherry-red lip, worn with a matching red manicure.

The outfit followed the same vintage mood: a black halter dress with a feathered neckline, feathered heels and a white satin clutch with black polka dots. WWD reports that the hair was created by stylist Jacob Rozenberg. If you love that contrast of deep red against black and white, it translates beautifully into accessories, from ruby rings to ruby earrings and rich garnet pendants.

Soft Make-up, Glowing Skin

As Vanity Fair Italia points out, few stars took big creative risks. Most chose soft make-up and focused on luminous, well-cared-for skin, with hair worn loose in gentle waves. The colour came in small, well-placed doses. Demi Moore paired her very long dark hair with generous sweeps of pink blush, while Allison Janney wore a flipped bob and bright fuchsia lips that matched her dress. Nicky Hilton brought sparkle to her eyelids and gave the popular half-up, half-down style a dramatic twist, and Lupita Nyong’o chose shimmering lips that feel just right for the party season ahead.

Hair accessories had their moment too. Rosé wore double braids with soft strands framing her face, and Lila Moss added a tiara to an almost bare make-up look.

How to Borrow the Look

The lesson from this red carpet is simple: keep the skin fresh and choose one focal point. That could be a bold lip, a sculpted hairstyle or a single piece of jewellery. A pair of statement earrings works well with swept-back hair, a soft pink stone such as rose quartz earrings echoes a rosy blush, and a structured handbag finishes an evening outfit with a touch of vintage polish.
