Paris Fashion Week has once again been as much about who was in the room as what came down the runway. As the spring/summer 2027 shows ran through the first days of October 2026, a string of actors, musicians and models made headlines — some from the front row, and a few on the catwalk itself.
Apple Martin’s first runway
The most talked-about debut came on Thursday 1 October at Chloé. Apple Martin, the 22-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, walked in creative director Chemena Kamali’s spring 2027 collection, staged at the historic Paris Observatory. WWD and Vogue both reported that she wore a white broderie anglaise maxi dress with eyelet embroidery, ruffles and billowing sleeves, finished with tall brown platforms. As WWD noted, it was a step built on an existing relationship with the house: earlier this year she fronted Chloé’s summer campaign, photographed by David Sims. Cynthia Erivo, Claudia Schiffer and Claire Danes were among the guests watching.
Actors on the catwalk, stars in the seats
At Vivienne Westwood on Saturday, actress Natasha Lyonne took a turn on the runway in a cropped patterned jacket and leopard-print miniskirt, according to The Independent. Andreas Kronthaler’s collection, titled Body & Soul, mixed corsetry, leopard print and gender-fluid tailoring, with model Yasmin Wijnaldum closing the show in a sculptural butter-yellow gown. Heidi Klum, in white, and Jaden Smith, in a pinstripe double-breasted suit, watched from the front row.
Earlier in the week, W Magazine reported that Rihanna sat front row at the spring 2027 presentation of AWGE, the creative collective and label led by A$AP Rocky. Her outfit paired a cropped leather jacket with a shirt trimmed with rhinestones along the lapel — and stacked diamond anklets, a small detail that drew plenty of attention. At Schiaparelli, Dazed reported that rapper JT, who had said on a podcast in January that she hoped to attend a show, took a front-row seat beside Tate McRae and Peggy Gou in a look taken straight from Daniel Roseberry’s new collection.
The detail that travels
